From Realism to Abstract

Flowers always fascinate me. There is such a thin line between realism and abstraction-ism when painting a flower. Sometimes when I paint petal after petal I get lost in the form; but after the work is done it looks pretty real. I was thinking about this when dividing my Pink Rose painting (not painting, print of course) into six equal pieces. I decided to make casters last weekend. And I wanted to step out of the box and combine puzzle idea and my painting with utilizing the artful piece into a useful one.
