A Little Bit of Nostalgia - Daffodil Paintings

Every time I see daffodils they remind me a little suns that shine from inside. They also remind me of my grandma who grew daffodils in our summer house. Each summer she would bring huge bouquet of daffodils to the city and share with our neighbors. In our beautiful, 300 year old city where grass or trees are only in the parks; those tiny flowers were the gifts from beyond. The smell was astonishing. I can remember it when writing this right now. Very good memories!

Since then I've painted daffodils many times; and, I believe I progressed quite a bit in painting manner and technique:

Still life with vase and daffodils painted in watercolor

And recently, several daffodils from miniature to a full size ones were included in my new Coloring Book - Botanical Flowers , Volume I:

Morning Glory Circle And Art Collectors Masterpieces

My studio is now full of creative projects that directly correlate with a new Botanical Flowers Coloring Book, Volume II.

As soon as I finished painting Morning Glory flowers for the book, my imagination nagged me to create a home decor design for the interior.
The results are above. I called this piece a Morning Glory Circle. This artwork is a flow of Morning Glory flowers forming into a beautiful wreath with its gorgeous blues and gentle greens.

Meantime my Art Collectors are sending the results of their work on the Botanical Flowers coloring book volume I. I am so pleased to see the diversity in my dear followers approach:

Botanical Flowers Drawing & Watercolor Meditative Process

Painting of Sweet Pea flower and Clover

Today, when I was painting wildflowers for a new coloring book, Botanical Flowers Volume II, I understood how the thoughts and the process of creation influence the mood of the painting and later on will influence the person who colors my art.

The music was playing in the background. The thoughts were drifting to a wildflowers field, to my childhood, to the place where are no worries or concerns.

How lovely.

It was a true meditative, serene, peaceful process!

Can't wait to share my book with my followers. Just a few weeks between today and the time when it hits the shelves of the book stores :)

My next step is to work on the cover page images.

Sneak Peek To Coloring Book Process Of Creation

drawings of botanical flowers colored

Welcome to the kitchen of a new coloring book, Flowers Botanical Drawing, Volume II, creation. Here is a sneak peek of the drawing and coloring process.

The first book is, slowly but surely, becoming bestseller on Amazon. And I believe it is because the authors, Irina Sztukowski ( yours truly) and Masha Batkova, not only put all their love into it; but, as well tested each and every flower from the book themselves:

And now it is turn to my dear Followers and Art Collectors.

I've received many photos from them to show me how they color the book, and what results they achieved.
One recent e-mail says:
"Irina, I started coloring the pages of your book; and, all of a sudden I realized, IT IS a very peaceful and relaxing process!"

Bingo!!!

That's exactly what I was targeting :). I wanted my followers to enjoy the co-creation with me, to feel the love and compassion from my drawings. And it seems the results are amazing.
Here are a few recent artworks by my dear customers that were very brave and happy to share. I organized them into a special gallery of art in my heart, my Art Collection, My Gratitude "folder":

New YoU Products With Watercolor Food Illustrations On Packaging

Food watercolor vegetables realistic watercolour

I am glad to announce that new products of YoU brand by Migros company with my watercolor illustrations of veggies, seeds, and bowls are now on the shelves of the stores of European supermarkets. It is so great to see a hard work looking so good and bright on the colorful labels and packaging. When I was painting the food illustration such carrots, corn, leaves of kale and beans I had to follow customers request to make them in style between realistic to minimalistic. However, for the bowl of food I was given a very clear photographs with ingredients such grains, beans, cut vegetables and I had to paint it in more realistic style in order to add a depth and interest to the painting. I was glad I could use my classical education and paint those food illustration in watercolor with diverse approach. The job is certainly well done.

My Portfolio with watercolour food illustrations is here:
