I love this beautiful colorful enchanting time when an artist can get all warm colors out and feel free to splash them onto her paper.
It seems to me that the word Autumn applies to my watercolors somewhat more poetic, romantic, and right compare to the word Fall.
I checked a couple of dictionaries, one British and American ones.
Per Oxford Dictionary Online;
The season of the year between summer and winter, when leaves change colour and the weather becomes colder
Per Merriam-Webster Dictionary:
The season when leaves fall from trees
I personally like the word Autumn for my watercolors, as the season of the year between warm greens and cool blues, when leaves transform their palette from monochrome mix of yellow and blue into a vibrant symphony of reds oranges and lemon golds. And even though, it's true the weather becomes colder, but the short lived beauty of this season sparks not the End such fallen leaves, but the Beginning of something New, a whisper far far from the Future.
So, with this artistic definition of mine, it appears I can't stop painting Autumn/Fall using different watercolor techniques from detailed dry-brush one, to impressionistic painting with the sea-sponge, and even application of tooth-brush technique.
I am having fun not only by painting landscapes but even single trees in all their glory. They look so happy framed, either with mat or without:
I am also so grateful to my Art Collectors who love this season as much as I do as well as appreciating my creativity and skill.
Geography of them is quite diverse, and I am so happy my art brings joy into peoples' home interior.
Here are a few recent paintings that found a good home.
