Watercolor Painting Of Golden Gate Bridge Plein Air Day
I am celebrating the last few weeks before leaving Bay Area for another state by going plein-air painting in San Francisco. In the previous post I showed my new painting of Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park; today it is a watercolor sketch of Golden Gate bridge, the view from the famous Pier 39.
The day was quite cold for the month of May, windy but sunny. I captured the waves, the vanishing fog, and deep red colors of the bridge in a quick Impressionistic style sketch:
